Keep Guard Over Product
For products that are small, irregular-shaped, or in danger of spilling, an integral guard edge helps keep them on the right track. Integral guard edges are available on many of Ashworth’s metal and plastic belts. A guard edge can help save costs by decreasing product loss and protecting equipment from jamming and damage by product spills.
Stay in Your Lane
If products are at risk of shifting, lane dividers are a solution. Keeping products in designated lanes can increase efficiency in high-volume production lines by reducing the need for manual intervention or additional sorting systems. Keeping products in lanes also results in smoother transitions from one processing stage to the next, enhancing overall output. Lane dividers are available on Ashworth’s plastic-metal hybrid Advantage® belts and Ashworth’s Omni-Flex® belts. On Ashworth’s Omni-Grid®, Omni-Grid® 360, and Omni-Pro® belts, woven lane dividers are available as cost-effective, patented special triangular mesh spirals that are built into the belt’s mesh overlay.
In addition to lane dividers, there are other ways to customize the mesh overlay on Ashworth’s Omni-Grid®, Omni-Grid® 360, and Omni-Pro® belts. Ashworth belts offer a patented oversized pigtail that reduces wire breakage, extending belt life. For increased product support while reducing mesh weight, Ashworth offers a high-density mesh overlay that doubles the mesh density between connecting rods, allowing for heavier product loads. Ashworth’s Omni-Tough® mesh overlay is 2 ½ times stronger than conventional overlays and is especially resistant to product sticking in freezer applications. By allowing for better product release, Omni-Tough® mesh can help decrease costs by preventing product loss during freezing.
Patented Fatigue Resistant Pickets
Ashworth’s Omni-Flex belts offer a special product option with Ashworth’s patented fatigue resistant pickets. We designed these special pickets to increase the belt’s service life by up to 30%. They are manufactured with an outward-facing radius centered on the trailing face of the picket. This radius serves to lengthen the belt pitch in selected openings near the outside of the belt, allowing the bar links to bear the full load of the belt in a turn, relieving stress on the picket. Fatigue resistant pickets are perfect for heavy products and applications that increase tension on the belt.
