Position Summary

Ashworth Brothers are seeking a motivated and results-driven Regional Sales Account Manager to join our team. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for generating leads, building relationships with potential and existing customers, and closing sales. Position Description

The Regional Sales Account Manager is responsible for selling Ashworth conveyor belts, monitoring systems and service to food manufacturing and can making companies in the South Eastern US. The job’s purpose is to develop and grow strategic relationships with customers through excellent sales and communication skills. Integrity, vision, and passion are essential for this role.

The position will generate revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders through auditing conveyor system health and recommending conveyor replacement and technical service needs. Candidates must have excellent customer service, technical expertise and a thorough understanding of a customer’s expectations. The individual is expected to provide technical assistance for conveyor belt selection, prospect and qualify new customers and will collaborate in a team selling strategy with Marketing, Customer Service, Engineering, Sales, and Finance

Candidates should have a proven track record and strong experience in industrial/technical/equipment sales. Preferably in conveyor sales in the food, beverage, or logistics industry and/or technical service expertise in any of those industries

 

Essential Functions

  • The job requires on-site customer visits to evaluate and specify conveyor systems.
  • The candidate must have a strong mechanical aptitude and be able to identify critical system technical details, complete data sheets used for RFQs and clarify all communication provided by the customer.
  • Work with the Finance group to ensure accurate communication and follow-up on orders and invoices

     

  • Utilize our CRM system to detail customer equipment information, number of production lines and belt replacement schedule, perform systematic bid/quote follow-up with customer and accurately process contact transactions using our CRM tracking system.
  • Candidate must be willing to travel as required based on business requirement, with occasional extended hours and weekends to attend trade shows and audit and troubleshoot customer equipment during emergency shut-down situations.

 

Education

Degree in a technical field and/or an equivalent combination of education and technical sales experience in a manufactured product sales environment. Mechanical or electrical engineering background a plus.

 

Experience

Minimum of 2 years of industrial/technical/ equipment sales. Preferably in conveyor sales in the food, beverage, or logistics industry and/or technical service expertise in any of those industries. Specific experience with the food industry spiral freezer systems, cookers and/or tunnel freezer/ovens a plus.

 

Other Requirements

Must possess expert knowledge of CRM systems, MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

 

Work Environment

Remote home office environment (Georgia or Florida) with up to 60% travel to customer production sites and trade shows.
